Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Elmira girls’ bowling team earned a 5-0 win over Horseheads, while the boys topped the Blue Raiders 4-1.
On the girls side Elmira shot 891, 864 and 885 for a 2,640, while Horseheads shot 587, 647 and 510 for a 1,744.
Madi Smith led Elmira with a 195-213-217-625 and Maddy Wasicki shot 257-188-177-622.
Abbi Hink shot 151-199-183-533, while Izzy Stanley (138-135-157) and Evaya Gardner shot (150-129-151) as they both had 430 series.
Joslynn Peters shot 144-193-108-445 for Horseheads and Annabelle Guardi shot 170-150-116-436.
Addy Perry shot 101-99-109-309 and Sarah Hoppins shot 89-126-78-293.
Summer Folk shot 83-79-162 and Jazmyne Kumshot 99.
Elmira’s boys shot 1,103, 1,024 and 959 for a 3,086. They had two bowlers shoot over 700 on the day.
Alex Gublo led Elmira with a 279-257-201-737 and Logan Card shot 247-236-235-718. Peyton Rozell shot 203-212-163-578 and Frankie D’Angelo had a 196-158-177-531, while Carter Gardner shot a 178-161-183-522.
Gabriel Merrill led Horseheads with a 174-201-242-617 and Zane Alexander shot214-192-199-605, whileNoah Cady shot a 221-193-187-601. Cayden Bowman shot 171-245-169-585 and Micah Merrill shot 211-156-367, while Robert Guardi had a 192.
