Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning boys’ bowling team swept Union-Endicott on Wednesday, and the girls fell to the Tigers 4-1.
Corning’s boys shot 1,013, 1,037 and 958 for a 3,008 while U-E shot 903, 1,004, 930 for a 2,837.
Max Aponte led Horseheads with a 215-206-237-658, while Bentley Goodier shot 256-225-170-651.
Keegan Palmer shot 175-212-192-579 and Jack Dunning had a 189-214-169-572, while Owen Watson shot 178-180-190-548.
The Corning girls shot 830, 785 and 731 for a 2,346, while U-E shot 804, 1,014 and 880 for a 2,698.
Kylie Downing led Corning with a 201-194-193-588 and Chloe Peterson shot 159-171-162-492, while Chelsea Wood had a 166-173-147-486.
Ayden Hartford shot 165-136-119-420, while Dakota Dickerson shot 139-111-250 and Hailey Tongue shot 110.
U-E JV boys won 5-0. Corning shot 778, 685 and 811 for a 2,279 and U-E shot 846, 919 and 823 for a 2,588.
Hunter Akins led Corning with a 190-166-172-528. Blake Kizis shot 153-142-201-496 and Mason McEwen shot 145-148-134-427.
Donnie Rickhe shot 144-126-94-364 and Noah Lyons shot 146-103-249 and Brad Bierwiler shot 210.
