HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: HORSEHEADS FALLS AT SHENENDEHOWA (January 24, 2026)

ALBANY — The Horseheads girls’ basketball team fell to Shenendehowa 65-31 on Saturday afternoon. 

Sam Bonnell had 16 points and Maggie Tremaine finished with eight for the Blue Raiders.

“Shen is a great program and got off to a fast start,” Horseheads coach Andy Scott said. “Our kids battled today and kept competing. We will be better for playing these last two teams.”

Giana Hughey had four points for Horseheads and Lauren Kozemko had two points, while Mya Piecuch had a point. 

Shen started out 23-7 in the opening quarter on their way to the win.
