STAC BOYS' BASKETBALL: CORNING PICKS UP VICTORY OVER HORSEHEADS (January 9, 2026)

CORNING — The Corning boys’ basketball team moved to 8-0 on the year with a 92-53 win over Horseheads on Friday night.

Horseheads jumped out to a 27-11 lead after one quarter and 54-25 lead at the half. 

Carter Proudfoot, Kyler Stevenson and Nolyn Proudfoot all had 16 points in the game.

Carter Proudfoot had three rebounds, three assists and three steals and Stevenson had six boards, two assists and three steals. Nolyn Proudfoot had four steals, five rebounds and two assists. 

Kohl Hogue had 12 points, eight assists and two steals, with a rebound and Teigen Gill had 10 points, two steals, two assists, two boards and a blocked shot.

Achille Gallois had five points and a rebound and Cooper Bange and Arda Derman had four points each. Both players had three boards and Derman had an assist and a steal. Dylan Brewster had four points and a rebound. 

Brady Johnston had three points and two boards, with an assist and Joe Fucito had two points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal. 

Jack Starbuck had 10 points and three rebounds for Horseheads, Lyncoln Bennett had nine points and Preston Harmer had eight points.

Jahvier haMeisner and Keagan Zeller each had six points, with Meisner adding three boards. 

Naji Macklin had five points and Derek Dubuque had three points.
