HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' WRESTLING: ELMIRA TAKES FOURTH AT ONEONTA ROTARY ROSS CORDELL TOURNEY (January 4, 2026)

ONEONTA — The Elmira Express boys’ wrestling team took fourth at the 36th Oneonta Rotary Ross Cordell Tournament with 147 points. Carthage won at 218 points. 

Scott Fairbanks was second at 144, he went 2-1 with a pair of technical fall wins. 

Ryder DePadua-Reese was third at 132. He went 4-1 on the day with four pins, including a pin in 2:20 in the third-place match. 

Lavonte Gibbons was third at 144 with a pin and two technical fall wins. He won by technical fall 18-0 in the third-place match. 

Arius Bradbury was third at 165, going 3-1 on the day with two pins and a major decision win. He had a pin in 1:53 in the third-place match.

Josh Johnson was third at 175 with a 3-1 record. All three of his wins were by fall, with a pin in 4:26 in the third-place match. 

Brock Rosemary was third at 285 going 3-1 on the day. He had two pins, including a pin in 1:41 in the third-place match. 

Ben Guyette was fourth at 150, going 2-2 on the day with a pin and a technical fall win. 

Nick Johnson was a sixth-place finisher for Elmira at 118. He was 3-3 on the day with three pins. 

Dameon Barner (103 pounds) was 1-2 on the day with a technical fall win. Hunter Parker (126) was 2-2 on the day with a major decision. Colin Baer was 0-2 at 190.
