HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' SWIMMING: CORNING TAKES 2ND, HAWKS AND BLUE RAIDERS EACH HAVE WINNERS AT INVITE AT THE GLEN (January 3, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportWATKINS GLEN — The Corning Hawks took second at the Boys Invitational at the Glen on Saturday.
The Hawks had a score of 381 with Maine-Endwell winning at 464. Horseheads was sixth at 201.5.
Corning was second in the 200 medley relay in 1:40.44 and Horseheads was sixth at 1:49.84.
Keith Huff of Corning was fourth in the 200 free in 1:51.76 and Joey Crisco of Corning won the 200 IM in 2:02.02. MJ Carro of Horseheads was fifth in 2:10.69 with Derek Guo of Corning was seventh in 2:18.01.
JP Sierzant of Corning was third in the 50 free in 22.61 and Thang Tran of Horseheads won the 100 fly in 55.54. Corning’s John McKane was sixth in 57.82 followed by teammate Shawn De Pedro in 58.28.
Sierzant was third in the 100 free in 49.60 and in the 500 free Huff was third in 5:08.96 with Joe Wood of Horseheads sixth in 5:33.10.
Corning was fifth in the 200 free relay in 1:38.70 and Horseheads was seventh in 1:41.56.
Tran was second in the 100 back in 57.44 followed by Carro (58.31) and McKane (58.77). Kyle Williams of Corning was seventh in 1:01.38.
Crisco won the 100 breaststroke with a state cut time of 59.99 and De Pedro was fourth in1 :04.40 and Guo was sixth in 1:08.47.
Corning won the 400 free relay in 3:22.95 and their B team was sixth in 3:39.05.
