HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' WRESTLING: BURCHARD WINS 190-POUND TITLE AT WINDSOR TOURNEY, FOUR OTHERS PLACE (24 PHOTOS)(December 30, 2025) Southern Tier Sports Report WINDSOR — Jaxson Burchard turned in a dominant performance to win the 190-pound title at the rugged Windsor Tournament on Tuesday.
Buchard opened with a 17-2 technical fall win in 1:21 and then he got a pin in 1:11 in the semifinals. He had a pin in 1:43 in the semifinals and won 12-8 over Jayden Pressley of Minisink Valley in the final.
Horseheads had four other wrestlers place in the tournament.
Josh Knapp was fifth at 110, going 4-2, with two major decisions. He had a 11-3 major decision win over Kam Harrell in the final.
Tanner Knapp (110) and Connor Warrick (215) each finished seventh and Nolan Miller (103) took eighth.
Tanner Knapp was 3-2, he had a 12-2 major decision over Avery Bowman of Waverly in the seventh-place match.
Warrick was 4-2. He had four pins, including one in 2:23 over Johnson City’s Kenyon Davidson in the seventh-place match.
Miller went 2-3 on the day. He had one pin to take eighth on the day.
Connor McAllister was 1-2 with a technical fall win. Kole Zufall finished 3-2 in the tournament with two major decision wins. Aziz Gafsi was 0-2 in the tournament. ——— PHOTOS BY TIM BIRNEY.
