MARY'S AT PALMER TOURNEY (24 PHOTOS)(December 29, 2025) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — The Horseheads girls’ basketball team fell to St. Mary’s 79-46 in the semifinals of the national division at the Josh Palmer Fund Holiday Classic on Monday.
“Girls played a great first half and then St. Mary’s got hot from outside and puled away,” Horseheads coach Andy Scott said. “Real happy with the compete level. St. Mary’s is one of, if not the best team in New York State. Kids played hard and never gave up.”
Sam Bonnell had 18 points and Giana Hughey had 11 for the Blue Raiders.
Maddie Ribble finished with eight points and Lexi Lese and Mya Piecuch had three points each.
Ellie Jankowski had two points and Lauren Kozemko finished with a point in the game.
