HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' BASKETBALL: ND EDGED BY WAVERLY AT PALMER TOURNEY (24 PHOTOS)(December 28, 2025) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — The Notre Dame boys were tied at the half, but fell to Waverly 67-57 in a regional semifinal at the Josh Palmer Fund Holiday Classic on Sunday.
It was 27-27 at the break, before Waverly scored 40 in the second half.
Hogan Shaw led Waverly with 29 points. He had 11 in the second quarter and 10 in the third.
Porter Daddona had 13 for Waverly.
It was just a one-point Waverly lead entering the fourth, when they outscored Notre Dame 23-14.
Rocco Sayers had 18 points, with four threes for Notre Dame. Max O’Connor had 12 points and Manlike Jenkins had 11 points.
