JOSH PALMER FUND HOLIDAY CLASSIC TIPS OFF SATURDAY (December 26, 2025)
Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The annual Josh Palmer Fund Holiday Classic tips off on Saturday at both Ernie Davis Academy and Elmira High School.
The Tournament celebrates 26 years as it kicks off in Elmira this weekend.
At EDA the action starts at 10 a.m. as the Mansfield (Pa.) girls take on Edison. At 11:45 a.m. the Troy (Pa.) boys meet Edison). At 1:30 p.m. the Corning girls take on Jamestown and at 3:15 p.m. Horseheads meets Trumansburg in boys’ action. All four games are Division I regional semifinals.
At Elmira High School the action begins at 11:45 a.m. as Notre Dame’s girls meet Johnson City in a Division 2 girls’ regional semifinals and Towanda and Ithaca meet at 1:30 p.m. in the other semifinals.
At 3:15 p.m. Waverly and Cardinal O’Hara meet in a large-school division girls’ game and at 5 p.m. Troy (Pa.) meets St. Mary’s in a large-school division game. Horseheads and Bishop Kearney meet in another large-school quarterfinal at 6:45 followed by the final quarterfinal between Aquinas (Rochester) and Elmira at 8:30 p.m.
The tournament runs from Dec. 27-30 and is $5 for a student day pass and $8 a day for adults. For students it’s $15 for the entire tournament and adults it’s $25 for the tournament pass. It’s $45 for a family tournament pass.
