ELMIRA — The Elmira Express boys’ wrestling team picked up a 40-34 victory over Vestal on Thursday night.

At 103 Dameon Barner of Elmira pinned Brayden Rebello in 3:13. Vestal’s Owen Lay won by forfeit at 110 and Nick Johnson of Elmira pinned Raf Hague in 5:15 at 118.

Jim Sysen of Vestal pinned Bradlee Kole in 46 seconds at 126 and at 132 Hunter Parker of Elmira won by ultimate tie-breaker 2-2 over Jimmy Kaminsky. 

Ryder DePadua-Reese of Elmira pinned Kian Watson-Yartley in 33 seconds at 138 and at 144 Lavonte Gibbons of Elmira pinned Nick Hardy in 1:47.

Ben Guyette of Elmira won by technical fall 19-4 in 6:00 over Chase Watts at 150 and at 157 Scott Fairbanks of Elmira pinned Braedan Moreno in 2:19.

Connor Brubaker of Vestal pinned Arius Bradbury in 3:33 at 165 and at 175 Josh Johnson of Elmira won 10-9 over Shazyar Rashid.

Seth Carlton of Vestal won by major decison 11-0 over Dante Wilson at 190 and at 215 Tye Jashan of Vestal pinned Terry Wise in 3:58, while at 285 Jayden Harding of Vestal pinned Brock Rosemary in 2:41.
