SECTION 4 WRESTLING: CORNING, ELMIRA HAVE WINNERS AT BUCK MEMORIAL, ELMIRA TIES FOR 2ND (24 PHOTOS)(December 13, 2025) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — The Elmira Express tied for second at their home Dave Buck Memorial Touranemnt on Saturday.
Elmira had a score of 175.5 tying Central Square. Marcellus won at 292.5. Corning was sixth at 117.5.
Dameon Barner of Elmira was sixth at 103. He fell to Simon Griggs of Memorial by fall in 5:21 in the fifth-place match.
Shane Harlacker of Corning was third at 110. He was 3-2 on the day with three falls.
Nick Johnson of Elmira was fourth and Daniel Bretch of Corning fifth at 118. Corning’s Jesse Clark was ninth.
Bretch won 8-5 over Foreman in the fifth-place match.
Reese Mathew of Corning was sixth at 126. He fell by fall in 4:43 to Whitney Point’s Joseph Card in the fifth-place match.
Hunter Parker of Elmira was fifth at 132. He won the fifth place match 3-1 over Marcellus’ Jack Doshna.
Elmira’s Ryder DePadua-Reese was runner-up at 138. He was edged 2-1 in tiebreaker one by Kyle Ritson of Whitney Point in the final. Parker Tolbert of Corning was fourth, falling by fall in 3:01 to Blaine Haney of Marcellus in the third-place match. Nicholas Woodcock of Corning was eighth.
Lavonte Gibbons of Elmira won the title at 144. He pinned Donavan Fraser in 1:41 in the final.
At 150 Elmira’s Ben Guyette was fourth, followed by teammates Scott Fairbanks and Tucker Burnett. Corning’s Blake Teeter was ninth and teammate Colton Graham was 11th.
Guyette fell by technical fall 18-1 in 2:25 to Marcos Escalante of Newark Valley in the third-place match and Fairbanks won by technical fall 15-0 in 5:11 over Burnette in the fifth-place match.
Corning’s Keegan VanCise was seventh at 157 followed by Elmira’s Cole Swanson. Corning’s Landyn Proudfoot was 10th followed by teammate Damon Vosburgh and Elmira’s Gavin Horton. VanCise won by major decision 9-0 over Swanson in the seventh-place match.
Arius Bradbury of Elmira was fifth at 165 with Mitchel Stepheson of Elmira seventh. Blane Cook of Corning was 11th. Bradbury pinned Johnathan McCall of Whitney Point in 41 seconds in the 5th-place match. Stepheson pinned Jax Myers of Waverly in the seventh-place match in 2:42.
Clayton Smith of Corning won the 175-pound title, pinning Elijah Williams of Newark Valley in 4:00 in the final. Josh Johnson fell 9-0 by major decision to Calbe Kohlback in the third-place match, taking fourth. Braxton Evans of Corning was sixth and teammate Connor VanHome was seventh. Evans fell by technical fall 17-1 in 4:39 to Anthony Enders of Moravia. VanHorne won by fall in 2:52 over Ronin Weston of Marcellus in the seventh-place match.
