SECTION 4 GIRLS' WRESTLING: HORSEHEADS HAS PAIR OF CHAMPS, CORNING PAIR OF RUNNER-UP FINISHES AT PENFIELD BLIZZARD BASH (December 12, 2025)
Southern Tier Sports ReportPENFIELD — The Horseheads Blue Raiders had two champions, and Corning had a champion and a runner-up at the Penfield Blizzard Bash on Friday.
Chloe Owen won the title at 138. She had a win over No. 4 ranked Talulah Williams-Johnson of East Rochester, a sixth-place finisher at states a year ago.
Ellisa Bly won the title at 235.
Lily Vesek (132) and Alexis Miles (120) each were third and Sonya Dordoni was fourth.
Lauren Mahon went 3-1 and took first for Corning at 114. Lily Harndon was 3-2 at 165 to take second. Mahon tied 6-6 in the final and got the win based on criteria with the most two-point moves.
Rhyss Padgett finished third at 145, going 4-1. Coraline Vanskiver was third at 235, finishing 3-1 on the day.
Ava Northup was fourth at 185, going 2-2 and Onalee Short was fourth at 100, going 3-2 on the day.
Emma Hadlock finished 3-2 on the day at 138 and Morgan Galinski (114), Sadie Kio (126) and Evelyn Vancamp (138) all went 0-2 on the day.
