STAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: HORSEHEADS ROLLS TO WIN AT ITHACA (December 10, 2025)

ITHACA — The Horseheads girls’ basketball team moved to 2-0 on the year with a 73-29 road win at Ithaca on Wednesday.

Freshman Sammie Bonnell led the Blue Raiders with 17 points and fellow freshman Maggie Tremaine had 14 points. 

Maddie Ribble had 13 points and Sadie Gustin had 10 in the game.

“All 11 girls played hard and got plenty of playing time,” Horseheads coach Andy Scott said. “Defensive tone was set from the start.”

Mya Piecuch had seven points for Horseheads and Peyton Butts finished with six points.

Giana Hughey and Ellie Jankowski finished with two points each for Horseheads and Lexi Lese and Grace Cronin each had a point in the game. 

Je’Da Vick led Ithaca with eight points.
