SECTION 4 BOYS' WRESTLING: CORNING NOTCHES WIN OVER MIDLAKES (December 9, 2025)

CORNING — The Corning Hawks boys’ wrestling team picked up a 59-21 win over Midlakes on Tuesday night. 

At 103 Carter Soltis won by fall over Christopher Westfall and Shane Harlacker had a pin for Corning over Daniel Weever at 110.

Corning’s Daniel Bretch (118), Parker Tolbert (144), Blake Teeter (150), Keegan Vance (165) all had forfeit wins, while Tucker Buckland of Midlakes had a forfeit win at 285.

Colton Graham of Corning had a pin over Samir Askarov at 157 and Braxton Evans had a pin at 175 over Nameah Wassouf. 

Clayton Smith of Corning won by technical fall 21-6 over Spencer Fox at 190. Midlakes’ Gavin Vanderwall pinned Caiden Zangerie at 126 and Justin Mercado pinned Brodie O’Dell at 132. Landyn Archer of Midlakes won 8-7 over Colton Brooks at 215.

In JV matches Reese Mayhew of Corning (132) pinned Jess Lyons and at 138 Mason Strawser of Corning pinned Castiel Hohn. Midlakes’ Mason Hargrove pinned Hayden Gincerowski at 175.
