COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: ELMIRA GRADS LEAD EC IN SCORING IN LOSS TO MISERICORDIA (24 PHOTOS) (November 12, 2025)

ELMIRA — Elmira grads Lauren Miller and Amarionah Dixon both scored in double figures, but the Elmira College women’s basketball team fell to Misericordia 71-59 on Wednesday night.

Elmira led by nine early and were up 18-15 after one quarter, but Misericordia took a 30-26 lead into the half before closing out the win.

The Soaring Eagles led 7-0 early with Miller and Dixon each hitting shots in the paint and Miller hitting a three. 

Miller led EC with 15 points, going 7-for-15 and adding three boards. Dixon was 6-for-8 and had 12 points and five steals. Dixon added three assists, five steals and three rebounds. Miller had four assists in the game.

Miller has scored in double digits all three games this year. She had 15 points, three boards, three assists and a blocked shot against Morrisville and she had 12 points, five boards, and an assist against Cobleskill. She averages 14 points a game. 

Dixon had a monster game to start the year with 22 rebounds, seven offensive, along with nine points and three steals against Morrisville. 

Dixon added 15 points and 13 rebounds, for a double-double, along with an assist and two steals against Cobleskill. Dixon is averaging 12.3 points and 12.7 rebounds a game. 

Corning grad Hannah Nichols played in one game so far this season.
