STSR PRESENTS THE DRAKE HVAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: CORNING'S HAMMOND AND ND'S YOUNG (2025-11-03)

Southern Tier Sports Report
There were a lot of great performances last week, leading to some tough choices for the week ending on Oct. 25. In the end, it was Corning’s Bryce Hammond and Notre Dame’s MK Young who were named the Southern Tier Sports Report, sponsored by Drake HVAC Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Athletes of the Week.

BRYCE HAMMOND
Corning, boys' XC
Won the STAC title, while leading the Hawks to a dominant championship win. Corning won the race going 1-2-3 in the individual portion, with Hammond leading the way.

MK YOUNG
ND, girls' soccer
Scored all three goals in Notre Dame's 3-1 sectional win over Greene in the Class C quarterfinals.
