SECTION 4 GIRLS' SOCCER: EDISON FINISHES SEASON WITH 6-0 WIN (2025-10-15)

AFTON — The Edison girls’ soccer team got a hat trick from Hannah Lasko as they beat Afton/Harpursville 6-0 on Wednesday.

It was 4-0 at the half. Eliza Crandall had two goals and three assists in the game.

Eliza Crandall scored at 4:59 and at 10:16 Lasko scored off a Crandall assist.

Lasko scored at 13:16 off assists by Crandall and Sydney Gibbs and Lasko scored off a Crandall assist at 38:10 to finish the first half scoring.

In the second half Crandall scored at 46:18 and Aurora Parlo scored off assist by Hannah Lasko and Marlee Sabino at 64:59.

Edison had 16 shots and seven corner kicks and Afton had four shots and two corner kicks.

Kaylynn Tarby had three saves for Edison and Afton had eight saves.

“Very pleased to finish our sophomore season as a program on a high note,” Edison coach Kevin Weber said. “The girls were connecting positive passes throughout and did a great job finding the open spaces to attack. It was also nice for our defense, which has worked hard for us all season, to get a well-deserved clean sheet.

“This group has been an absolute pleasure to coach, and the improvement they've shown from August to now is a testament to the work each one of them put in every day.  We're disappointed for the season to end and will miss our three seniors, but proud of the foundation we've built and excited to continue the growth Elmira Heights soccer.”
