STAC BOYS' SOCCER: ELMIRA TIES IN STAC SEMIS; ONEONTA ADVANCES ON PKS (2025-10-15)

ONEONTA — The Elmira Express played to a scoreless tie against Oneonta in the STAC semifinals on Wednesday night.

The game ended in a draw after two overtimes, but Oneonta advanced on penalty kicks (4-3).

“The boys played unified tonight,” Elmira coach Derek Hamilton said. “We created some good chances, but couldn’t quite find that last bit of quality to get the goal that we needed.

“Oneonta defended admirably. It’s always tough when it comes down to PKs after 100 minutes of physical soccer. The result would have been unfair for either side. However, someone has to advance. Good luck to them in the STAC final.”
