CORNING GIRLS WINS MCDANIEL-BAXTER INVITE; HAWKS WIN BOTH MODIFIED GIRLS AND BOYS RACES (2025-10-04)

ENDICOTT — The Corning girls brought home the Class A title at the 57th Annual McDaniel-Baxter Cross Country Invitational.

Corning had a team score of 43 to win, Ithaca was next at 48.

Olivia Martinec of Corning won in 16:47. Tsadia Bercuvitz of Ithaca won at 15;05.

Corning’s Kateland Dininny was fourth in 17:11 followed by teammate Abigail Wagner in 17:32. Kaitlyn Lee of Corning was 13th in 18:35.

Lillian euerlein was 24th in 19:32 and Uma Padma Sree Thularam was 28th in 19:46. Alisyn Conway was 35th in 20:32 and Macalyn York was 42nd in 21:24. Bella Beres was 56th in 22:44 and Aubrey Miller was 58th in 22:46. Caroline Welch was 68th in 24:11.

For the varsity boys the Corning Hawks were without three of their top runners on the day, but they still took second at 71 points, with Ithaca winning at 31.

Christopher Lawson was seventh in 14:23 and Samuel Kirk was 16th in 14:$5. Graham Witghman was 18th in 14:50 followed by Andrew Miller in 14:53. Elijah Sonner was 25th in 15:11 with Connor Harrington 27th in 15:25. Colten Ketchum was 30th in 15:36 followed by Isaac Ballard at the same time. Keith Huff was 33rd in 15:42. Ryan Madden was 61st in 17:07.

For modified boys Corning won the title at 21 points, followed by Ithaca at 59.

Corning’s Charlie Wukovitz won at 10:17 with Olivier Clip third at 10:48 followed by Cooper Adriance (10:48). Raphael Boutwell was sixth in 11:16 followed by Nathaniel Carlton at the same time. Psscal Boutwell was ninth in 11:20. Braedyn Copp was 17th in 11:52. Chase Reed was 30th in 12:41. Ben Yang was 48th in 13:29. Simon Blouin was 67th in 14:03. Charles VanCamp was 78th in 14:24. Michael Millhollen was 97th in 15:20. Colton Worley was 114th in 16:59 and Mason Childs was 118th in 17:57.

Corning’s modified girls won with a team score of six with Vestal next at 28. The girls were scored by the top three runners.

Corning went 1-2-3 with Vanessa Topielec winning in 12:08 followed by Kylan Wright (12:11) and Eleanor Robson (12:34). Finley Blood was ninth in 13:02 and Mia Owens was 15th in 13:30 followed by teammates Sophia Bender (13:33), Ella Brimmer (13:33) and Kathryn Akerelrea (13:34). Ammarah Kinsey was 53rd in 15:39 and Aryionna Bailor was 59th in 16:14 followed by Reagan Knapp (16:17). Aleahya Haynes was 70th in 17:11.

Corning JV boys took second at 68 points. Ithaca won at 15 points. Thomas VanSlyke was eighth in 16:04. Isaac Ho was 13th in 16:32 and Britton Chapman was 15th in 16:34. Jax Adams was 25th in 17:17 followed by Sebastian Selgado (17:18). Boom Suarez was 29th in 17:27 with Gavin Bierwiler 31st in 17:32. Brock Allington was 33rd in 17:42 followed by Reed Fuchs (17:43). Silas Ruza was 38th in 18:10 followed by John Shanchuk at the same time. Dwayne Gardiner was 53rd in 19:36 and William McConnell was 57th in 19:39. Colin Zimmerman was 61st in 19:54 followed by Tristan Pratt (19:56) and Evan Soccio (20:02). Maxwell Keegan was 65th in 20:09. Alex Nichols was 96th in 26:44.
