IAC BOYS' SOCCER: VALENTE NETS FOUR GOALS AS ND WINS IAC SOUTH LARGE-SCHOOL CROWN (2025-10-02)

SPENCER VAN-ETTEN — Davi Valente had four goals as the Notre Dame boys’ soccer team topped SVEC 4-2 on Thursday night to claim the IAC South Large-school title.

It’s the first title for the Crusaders since the 2018 season.

The Crusaders, 9-4 on the year, jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the half as Valente had the first-half hat trick.

Matt Keough, Justin Mullen and Anthony Barkley all had assists in the game.

Xavier Beach had both goals for SVEC.

Notre Dame had 29 shots and 12 corner kicks and SVEC had five shots and two corner kicks.

Brennan Zimmer had 22 saves for SVEC and Brendan O’Brien had a save for Notre Dame.
