STAC VOLLEYBALL: CORNING RALLIES FOR FIVE-SET WIN AT OWEGO (2025-10-01)

OWEGO — The Corning volleyball team rallied for a five-set win at Owego on Wednesday night.

After winning the first set 25-20 the Hawks dropped the next two 26-24 and 25-21 to fall behind 2-1.

Corning won the final two sets 25-15, 15-12.

Paisley Emmick had an ace, 34 assists, 10 digs and 17 points while Sam Molingou had an assist, 11 kills and five blocks with three digs.

Evie Starns had an assist, nine kills, four blocks and 10 digs, while Jillian Wood had eight kills, two blocks and 15 digs, with seven points. Char Starns had three kills, nine blocks, three digs and 10 points.

In the JV match Corning won 25-14, 25-22, 25-19.

Sophie Schoonover had 10 kills, 11 digs, an ace and three points and Abbey McLaughlin had five kills, a block and two digs and Reagan Terwilliger had three kills, six digs, an ace and 11 points.
