THE SPORTS REPORTS: SVEC'S AMAN, EDISON'S SCHILLER, WELLSBORO'S KOSEK ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2025-09-30)

SVEC senior Logan Aman had another big game, while Thomas A. Edison junior Jace Schiller had a career game, and Wellsboro junior Lauren Kosek had a tremendous run at the prestigious McQuaid Invitational. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Sept. 27.

SVEC' AMAN, EDISON'S SCHILLER NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Aman only ran the ball eight times in SVEC's 43-14 win over Greene-Oxford, but he scored four TDs and gained 209 yards.

Aman had TD runs of 12, 42, and 29 yards in first half, then capped off his night with 96-yard scoring run in third quarter.

For the season, Aman has 863 yards and 14 TDs in the first four games.

Schiller accounted for six TDs in state-ranked Edison's 54-14 win over Newfield.

Schiller completed 7 of 14 passes for 219 yards and three TDs, and ran for 143 yards and three TDs on 11 carries.

Schiller ran for scores of 2, 54 and 10 yards, and threw for TDs of 
51, 25 and 33 yards.

Honorable Mentions: Waverly's Cooper Robinson (football), Towanda's Curtis Maynard (football), and Wellsboro's Camden Tom (soccer).

WELLSBORO'S  NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Kosek’s time of 17:20.6 in the Bob Bradley Premier Girls’ 3-mile race was good for 11th place among 178 runners. The winning time was 16:31.2 and the top three finishers all ran a sub-17 minute three miles. 

Across all races, Kosek was 11th among 1,574 girls.

Earlier in the week, Kosek placed first in a double-dual against Towanda and Wyalusing.
