STAC BOYS' SOCCER: CORNING NOTCHES VICTORY OVER HORSEHEADS (24 PHOTOS) (2025-09-11) Southern Tier Sports Report CORNING — Landyn Proudfoot had a career-high four goals as the Corning boys’ soccer team beat Horseheads 5-2 on Thursday.
Along with the four goals from Proudfoot, the Hawks got a goal from Charlie Warner.
Ross Fucito, James Goodman and Cooper Sargent all had assists in the game for the Hawks.
Corning had 12 shots and 12 corner kicks and Horseheads had four shots and a corner kick.
Brayden Spier had a goal, on a penalty kick, and Sebastian Garcia had a goal for the Blue Raiders. Teagan Sullivan had seven saves in net for the Blue Raiders.
“Horseheads came out hard from the first whistle,” Corning coach Chad Freelove said. “We started slow again tonight. We were able to match intensity and played extremely hard in the second half.
