STAC BOYS' SOCCER: CORNING TURNS UP THE DEFENSE IN WIN OVER JC (24 PHOTOS) (2025-09-06) Southern Tier Sports Report CORNING — The Corning Hawks turned up the defense in a 6-0 win over Johnson City on Saturday afternoon.
Corning allowed no shots or corners in the win. The Hawks had 18 shots and six corner kicks.
Landyn Proudfoot had two goals and an assist and James Goodman had a pair of goals.
Cooper Sargent had a goal and two assists and Brandon Ogunwumi had a goal.
Charlie Warner had a pair of assists and Grayson Timmons had an assist.
“Isaac Anderson with his first career shutout today,” Corning coach Chad Freelove said. “The defense was able to stymie chances from coming to fruition and Isaac finished it off.
