IAC BOYS' SOCCER: ND OPENS SEASON WITH VICTORY AS GAVIN HARRINGTON WINS COACHING DEBUT (24 PHOTOS) (2025-08-27) Southern Tier Sports Report SOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame boys’ soccer team scored three second-half goals on their way to a season-opening 4-0 win over Union Springs/Port Byron.
Notre Dame led 1-0 at the half on a Justin Mullen goal.
Mullen, Tony Campanella and Davi Valente had second-half goals for the Crusaders. Matthew Keough had three assists in the win.
Notre Dame had seven shots and seven corners and Union Springs had two shots and two corners.
Landon English had two saves for Notre Dame in goal and Lucas Walawender had three saves for Union Springs.
For Notre Dame it was the first game for coach Gavin Harrington, a former Crusaders standout.
