On Sunday (8/3), they also bowled in the 5 person team Bakers collegiate event along with Trevor Pense and Xavier Newell.

Trevor, Zach, and Xaiver bowl for McKendree University in Lebanon,
Illinois.  Joseph Enderle bowls for Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas and Camryn Stefanini transferred to Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa and will bowl there with the Clarke collegiate team in the fall.

This tournament is a national event with teams competing in age divisions
of 15 & under, 16-18, and collegiate level up to age 22.  There were 51
teams present at the 5 person team event on Sunday with 13 of those teams in the collegiate division.

The guys came home with 1st place finishes in all three events they
participated in. The triples event sported a 1.5:1 40 foot pattern and the
5 person event was a 1:1 46 foot pattern.

The triples regular team threw a three game series of 1741 to win the event by 77 pins over the 2nd place team.  In that game Zach Vanderpool threw games of 173, 185, and 209 for a 567 series, Joseph Enderle threw games of 233, 138, 192 for a 563 series, and Camryn Stefanini threw games of 226, 259, 126 for a 611 series.

The triples baker team (again comprising of Vanderpool, Enderle, and
Stefanini) shot games of 186, 258, 216 for a 3 game 660 series which was 97 pins better than 2nd place to win that event.

In the 5 person collegiate tournament, the team bowled 10 qualifying games before entering bracket match play.  They bowled games of 233, 177, 150, 138, 199, 152, 150, 177, 153, 217, for a 10 game total of 1748 qualifying them tied for 4th but placing 5th due to a lower high game score tie breaker.  The top qualifying team bowled 10 qualifying game score of 1836.

The team entered match play which required winning 2 out of 3 games to
advance to the next round.  In the first round, they won 2-0 against the
12th seeded team on games of 180-164 and 195-130.

Next they bowled against the 6th seeded team winning that series 2-1 on
games of 179-165, 168-210, & 179-141

In the semifinals round, they bowled against the 13th seeded team and won that series 2-1 on games of 175-146, 165-173, & 223-133.

The championship round was a best of 5 game series against the 7th seeded team.  The boys won the championship 3-1 on games of 164-154, 189-172, 157-188, 195-132.
