HORSEHEADS GRAD GODWIN NOTCHES FIRST PROFESSIONAL WIN AFTER THROWING TWO PERFECT INNINGS (2025-06-16)
Southern Tier Sports ReportHorseheads graduate Connor Godwin earned his first professional win on Sunday for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in a 4-2 win over the Empire 66ers of San Bernardino.
Godwin, pitching for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Single-A affiliate, threw two perfect innings, striking out three.
Godwin returned this year after Tommy John surgery. He has a 1-2 mark on the year. He has pitched 17 innings over 14 games with 20 strikeouts.
