NYSPHSAA TRACK AND FIELD; MCLAUGHLIN TOP SEED IN 100 HURDLES AS LOCALS HEAD TO STATES (2025-06-12)
Southern Tier Sports ReportCorning’s Cella McLaughlin is the top seed in the 100 hurdles to highlight the local athletes heading to Middletown High School this weekend for the New York State Track and Field Championships.
McLaughlin is the top seed in the 100 hurdles in 14.06. Emeline Clark of Monroe-Woodbury is the second seed at 14.08.
McLaughlin is also the fifth seed in the long jump at 18-feet, 10 1/4-inches. Anna Wells of Cicero-North Syracuse is the top seed at 19-feet, 8 1/4-inches. Corning’s Claire Devlin is also in the event, seeded 15th at 17-feet, 1-inch.
Corning’s Wyatt Mcdonald is seeded 17th in Class A in the 400 in 50.59. Horseheads’ Carlo Cipolla is the 14th seed in the 110 hurdles in 15.63.
Adrian Blouin of Corning is the 13th seed in the 400 hurdles in 58.19.
Freddie Collins of Corning is the 14th seed in the shot put at 48-feet, 9-inches and Jacob Blencowe of Corning is the 15th seed in the discus at 158-feet, 1-inch.
Dexter Badger, Charles Warner, Wyatt McDonald and Ryan Calkins are the 21st seed in the 4x400 relay for the Hawks in 3:25.75.
Corning’s Jaxyn Mahoney is the 19th seed in the 800 championship race (all classes). Mahoney is the ninth seed among Class A runners.
Nicholas Kowal of Horseheads is the 42nd overall seed in the championship 1600 in 4:25.23.
Corning is the 22nd seed in the 3200 championship with a seed of 8:04.91 and a team of Bryce Hammond, Greg Homa, Mahoney and Sebastian Boutwell.
For the girls in the 100 Mylynn Flint of Horseheads is seeded 19th in 12.71. Elmira’s Arrianna Jones is 19th seeded in the 200 in 27.03.
Alexus Borek of Horseheads is the 17th seed in the 400 hurdles in 1:04.93.
Corning’s Amanda McEwen is the 12th seed in the triple jump at 32-feet, 2 1/2-inches.
The Hawks’ Sophia Cimo is the 11th seed in the shot put (34-feet) and the ninth seed in the discus (113-feet, 2-inches).
The Blue Raiders’ Erica Bancroft, Elly Bachert, Flint and Borek are the 19th seed in the 4x100 relay in 49.68.
Corning’s Chinonyerem Okoro, Laina Gardner, McLaughlin and Devlin are the 17th seed in the 1600 relay in 4:02.99.
Notre Dame’s Makenna Keough is the eighth seed in the Class C 100 hurdles in 15.76.
Elmira’s Selena Rollins is the 41st seed in the high jump championship (all class sizes) at 4-feet, 10-inches.
Corning’s Elianna Schneider, Lauren Roche, Olivia Martinec and Leila Ianovici are the 35th seeds in the 3200 relay championship with a time of 9:53.32.
