SECTION 4 BASEBALL: RICHARDS THROWS NO-HITTER WITH 16 STRIKEOUTS TO LEAD ND TO SECTIONAL WIN (18 PHOTOS) (2025-05-23) Southern Tier Sports Report SOUTHPORT — Luke Richards threw a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts to lead Notre Dame to a 3-0 win over Richfield Springs/Owen D. Young in the Section 4, Class D Tournament.
Richards threw his first no-hitter of the year, walking three and striking out 16.
Richards also had a 2-for-3 day at the plate with a run scored, while Casey Kraeger went 2-for-2 with an RBI and Jhamez Boyd also had a two-hit day.
Sebastian Capriotti had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Colton Welch had a hit and a run scored, while Noah Cain had a hit.
