IAC TRACK AND FIELD: EDISON'S LASKO, ND'S KEOUGH EACH NOTCH TWO WINS ON DAY ONE OF IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (18 PHOTOS) (2025-05-21)

NEWARK VALLEY ---- Edison’s Hannah Lasko and Notre Dame’s Makenna Keough each won two events and two other Edison boys notched wins on day one of the IAC track and field championships.

In the boys’ pentathlon Antonio Campanella was third for Notre Dame at 2,157.  For the girls Makenna Keough was third at 2,287.  

Edison’s Kaelb Cuyler was sixth in his division for the boys at 1,367 and Sabou Diakite of Edison was sixth in her division for the girls at 966.

Hannah Lasko won the 100 in 13.22 and she won the 400 in 1:00.68.

Keough won the 100 hurdles in 16.14. Keough won the long jump at 16-feet, 10 1/2-inches.

Talon LaPlante of Edison won the shot put at 43-feet, 6-inches.

Jameson Dugan of Edison won the 3000 steeplechase in 11:31.76.

Zimear Young was sixth in his division in the 100 in 12.34.

Brenden Smith of Edison was fifth in his division in the 110 hurdles in 20.18.

Marta Albaladejo Tejedor of Notre Dame was fifth in the 1500 in her division in 5:52.95. Mayla Falank of Edison was sixth in the division in 5:57.84.

Matthew Keough of Notre Dame was sixth in his division in the 1600 in 5:00.24.

Edison was fourth in their division of the girls’ 3200 relay in 13:32.81 and in the boys race the Spartans were third at 9:27.31.

Maggie Moore of Notre Dame was fifth in her division in the discus at 69-feet, 9-inches.

Edison’s boys were third at 26 points and Notre Dame eighth at one point after day one in their division. Lansing leads at 89 and Tioga leads the other division at 62. For the girls Edison has 25 to sit sixth followed by Notre Dame at 24. Lansing leads at 65 and Southern Cayuga leads the other division at 64.
