COLLEGE MEN'S LACROSSE: CORNING'S MCNANEY MAKES 12 SAVES AS MARYLAND MEN'S LACROSSE MAKES FINAL 4 (2025-05-18)
Southern Tier Sports ReportCorning’s Logan McNaney and the Maryland men’s lacrosse team is headed to to the Final Four.
It’s the 30th time in program history that the No. 4 Terps are heading to the Final Four, after they beat Georgetown 9-6. The Terms now have the most Final Four appearances of any program, breaking a tie with Johns Hopkins.
Maryland moves to 13-3 with nine wins over ranked opponents and they will play No. 6 seed Syracuse in the semifinals on Saturday. The game will be played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
McNaney finished the game with 12 saves in goal. It was his 14th time this season making double-digit saves.
Corning West graduate John Tillman is the Maryland coach. Maryland is 75-42 in the NCAA Tournament all-time under Tillman.
The 17,721 fans broke the record for the highest attended NCAA quarterfinal game in tournament history.
