CHENANGO VALLEY — Finn Schweizer had an 11-point night, but the Watkins Glen/Notre Dame boys’ lacrosse team fell to Chenango Valley 22-18.

“Our players played a great game against a great team,” WG/ND coach Geoff Crossley said. “We came out with a lot of energy and focus and made a game of it. A couple of small mistakes and turnovers was the difference tonight. A great game to be a part of and watch.

“Now, onto the playoffs. We have some work to do, but the energy and the confidence of this team is growing at the right time.”

Schweizer had eight goals and three assists and Nick D’Alleva and Sam Hohle each had four goals and an assist, while Landon English had two goals and an assist.

Dylan Mattoon had 18 saves in goal.
