SECTION 4 BASEBALL: CORNING EDGED BY LANSING, 2-1 (2025-05-13)
Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning baseball team was edged by Lansing 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Hawks were outhit 11-5, but scattered the 11 hits and only allowed two runs on the day, only one of them earned.
Nolan Smith struck out one in five innings and Kyle Miller struck out one in two innings.
Lansing scored in the first and Corning tied things in the fifth, before Lansing won it in the seventh.
Ryan Price, Gavin Walker, Johnny Graham, Connor Monroe and Miller all had hits for Corning,w with Walker driving in Dom Weed for the Hawks’ run.
