SECTION 4 BOYS' LACROSSE: WG/ND FALLS TO CHENANGO FORKS (2025-05-07)

SOUTHPORT — The Watkins Glen/Notre Dame boys’ lacrosse team fell to Chenango Forks on Wednesday 18-6.

“Another tough loss tonight vs. a good Chenango Forks team,” WG/ND coach Geoff Crossley said. “The score doesn’t show it, but our defense played one of our best games tonight. The team played hard for 48 minutes, but in the end we just made a lot of mistakes that turned into goals on the other end.

“We have four games in the next five days to put a run together. We have a lot of talent, just have to find a way to get it all to come together.”

In the fourth quarter Nick D’Alleva got his 200th career point on an assist to Finn Schweizer.

Schweizer had four goals and D’Alleva had a goal and two assists. Nick Ritter had a goal and Landon English finished with an assist.

Dylan Mattoon had 12 saves in goal.
