Southern Tier Sports Report
CORNING — Delaney Abel shot an even-par 37 and her and her sister had the top two scores for Corning as they won in a quad-meet on Monday.

Corning shot 195, Notre Dame was at 225 and SVE shot 245, while O-M had two golfers.

Long with the 37 for Delaney Abel, her sister Harper Abel shot a 52, while Tess Barber and Amanda Hall both shot 53. Kamryn Fusare shot 60 and Caroline Welch had a 70.

"It was cool to see the Abel sisters finish first and second for the Hawks tonight," Corning coach Chris Clark said. "We have a lot of our younger girls starting to play well. Hoping they can provide a nice compliment to Delaney Abel and Amanda Hall at the end of the year as those two try and return to the state championships, but also bring home the first Section 4 title for Corning girls' golf."

Evelyn Wheeler led Notre Dame with a 43, the second best score of any golfer on the day and Emma Steed was next with a 49.

Sabrina O’Connor shot a 56 and Bella Smith shot 61, while Sophie Sramek shot a 72.

Lauren Gillette shot a 51 for SVE and Lily Kunzman shot a 60. Reece Hickey had a 64 and Hannah Smith shot 70, while Delilah Alpert shot a 52 and Kelci Wright had a 79.

Riley Brooks shot 59 for O-M and Brooke Burns shot a 60.
