IAC BASEBALL: RICHARDS THROWS TWO-HITTER WITH 15 STRIKEOUTS AS ND TOPS SVEC (24 PHOTOS) (2025-05-02) Southern Tier Sports Report SOUTHPORT — Luke Richards threw a two-hitter with 15 strikeouts as the Notre Dame baseball team beat Spencer Van-Etten/Candor 11-1 on Friday afternoon.
With the game ending after six with the 10-run win, Richards got 15 of his 18 outs in the game by strikeout. He allowed one run in the game.
Malachy Cain and Jhamez Boyd each had two hits in the game. Cain had a double, three RBI and a run scored and Boyd had two hits and three runs scored.
Richards, Sebastian Capriotti, Casey Kraeger, Brendan O’Brien and Colton Welch all had hits in the game. Capriotti and Kraeger scored runs and Richards scored three runs. O’Brien had two RBI.
