ELMIRA — Sonny Taft and Madelyn Cavalier hit home runs as the Elmira softball team beat Owego 12-6 on Friday afternoon.

Taft was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored and Cavalier had a home run, three RBI and a run scored.

Ava Sherman had two hits, two RBI and a run scored and Cate Lambert thad two hits and scored a run. Juliana Wilbur had two hits and scored three runs.

Ava Cornacchio had a hit, two RBI and a run scored and Annabelle Decker, Ryleigh Ogden and Addisyn Chorney each had hits in the game. Decker and Chorney each scored runs. Aleida Agosto scored a run in the game.

Cornacchio struck out five in the game.
