IAC SOFTBALL: WARREN GETS 100TH CAREER COACHING WIN AS EDISON ROLLS PAST T'BURG (18 PHOTOS) (2025-04-28)
Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — Edison softball coach Liz Warren picked up her 100th career coaching win as the Spartans beat Trumansburg 19-0 on Monday.
Edison scored nine runs in the first inning on the way to the win.
Aurora Parlo had three hits, with a double, three RBI and two runs scored and Carissa Cowan had an inside the park home run, with four RBI and a run scored.
Tayler Burdick, Rosie Wheeler, Cierra Davis, Kaylynn Tarby and Peyton Gibbs all had hits for Edison in the game. Wheeler and Burdick had RBI, Davis scored two runs, Tarby had two RBI and three runs scored and Gibbs had an RBI and three runs scored.
Kayla Rossi scored four runs and Haleigh Rodriguez and Katrina Cook scored two runs, with Cook driving in a run.
Parlo worked 3 2/3 innings of one-hit ball, striking out nine. Wheeler pitched 1 1/3 perfect innings with two strikeouts.
