STAC BASEBALL: ELMIRA STRIKES FIRST, BUT FALLS AT ITHACA (2025-04-23)

ITHACA — The Elmira baseball team struck first, but weren’t able to hang on against Ithaca, falling 9-5 on Wednesday.

Elmira scored two in the top of the first, but Ithaca answered with two in the bottom of the first and a run in the second.

Elmira tied things with a run in the top of the fourth, but Ithaca had two in the fourth, two in the fifth and two in the sixth in the win.

Dom Ellis and Logan Demember each had two hits, with Demember scoring a run and Ellis driving in a run.

Aedan Palmer had a double an RBI and two runs scored and Quinn Hanrahan had a hit, two RBI and a run scored, while Logan Palmer had a hit and Ryan Matthews scored a run. Adrial Ellis had an RBI.

Demember struck out six in five innings. Ryan Matthews worked one inning of relief.
