Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning Hawks boys and girls track and field teams each picked up wins over Horseheads on Tuesday, with the girls winning 111-30 and the boys winning 99-42.
In the 3000 Lauren Roche of Corning won in 11:05.24 followed by teammates Elianna Schneider (16:20.84) and Madeline Kirk (16:21.24).
Bryce Hammond of Corning won the 3200 in 10:20.60 followed by Horseheads’ Nicholas Kowal (10:23.72) and Allen Wetmore (10:24.35).
Horseheads won the girls’ 1600 relay in 4:31.42 and in the boys race Corning won in 3:33.76.
Ethan Wentzel of Corning won the pole vault at 12-feet followed by teammates Jacob Deneka (10-feet) and Connor Calkins (8-feet, 6-inches).
Horseheads’ Calvin Cragle won the shot put at 44-feet, 5-inches followed by Corning’s Freddie Collins (41-feet, 7-inches) and Jacob Blencowe (40-feet, 8-inches).
Sophia Cimo of Corning won the discus at 103-feet, 10-inches followed by teammates Samantha Harvey (88-feet, 5-inches) and Layla Byzitter (83-feet, 7-inches).
Deneka won the long jump at 19-feet, 9 1/4-inches followed by Horseheads’ Carver Robbins (18-feet, 4 3/4-inches) and Marco Cipolla (18-feet, 3/4-inches).
Devin Godwin of Horseheads won the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches followed by Corning’s Jayden Moore at the same height and Wentzel at 5-feet, 2-inches.
Maxwell Jennings of Corning won the triple jump at 37-feet, 2-inches followed by teammates Adrian Blouin (36-feet, 4-inches) and Joshua Fajardo (36-feet, 1 1/4-inches).
Reese Conway won the girls pole vault at 9-feet, 6-inches followed by teammates Lauren Williams and Madison Farrell, both at 6-feet, 6-inches.
Cimo won the girls shot put at 30-feet, 9-inches followed by Harvey (30-feet, 1-inche) and Corning’s Kailee Davis (27-feet, 5-inches).
Jacob Blencowe of Corning won the discus at 151-feet, 8-inches followed by Collins (133-feet, 6-inches) and Joey Biviano of Horseheads (132-feet, 9-inches).
Cella McLaughlin of Corning won the long jump at 18-feet, 3 3/4-inches followed by Elly Bachert of Horseheads (16-feet, 1/4-inches) and Madison Farrell of Corning (15-feet, 5 1/2-inches).
Madie Sweet of Corning won the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches followed by teammates Chinonyerem Okoro (4-feet, 6-inches) and Hadley Murray (4-feet, 2-inches).
Claire Devlin of Corning won the triple jump at 35-feet, followed by teammate Amanda McEwen (33-feet, 9 3/4-inches) and Horseheads’ Andrea Benjamin (32-feet, 6 3/4-inches).
McLaughlin won the 100 hurdles in 14.82 followed by teammates Alisyn Conway (17.86) and Okoro (17.86).
Horseheads won the girls’ 3200 relay in 11:28.43 and they won the boys race in 8:31.85.
Carlo Cipolla of Horseheads won the boys’ 110 hurdles in 16.43 followed by Wentzel (17.05) and Blouin (17.15).
Zuri Ruffin of Corning won the 100 in 11.27 followed by Horseheads’ Chase Luangsuwan (11.64) and Dexter Badger of Corning (11.81).
Mylynn Flint of Horseheads won the girls’ 100 in 13.25 followed Corning’s Emma Mase (13.62) and Horseheads’ Ari Newton (14.30).
Schneider won the 1500 in 5:10.40 followed by Roche (5:20.55) and teammate Leila Ianovici (5:22.35).
Corning won the girls’ 400 relay in 54.84 and Horseheads won the boys race in 45.81.
Hammond won the 1600 in 4:55.72 followed by teammate Gregory Homa (4:55.75) and Horseheads’ Jack Sydlansky (4:56.11).
McLaughlin won the 400 in 1:01.02 followed by teammates Aurora Jellif (1:03.48) and Okoro (1:03.58).
Jaxyn Mahoney of Corning won the boys’ 400 in 51.49 followed by teammates Charles Warner (53.43) and Ryan Calkins (55.12).
Blouin won the boys’ 400 hurdles in 1:01.16 followed by teammates Samuel Kirk (1:05.67) and Calkins (1:07.05).
McEwen won the girls race in 1:11.99 followed by Devlin (1:12.17) and teammate Katelyn Winderl (1:22.97).
Ianovici won the girls’ 800 in 2:32.22 followed by Schneider (2:34.03) and Horseheads’ Cecilia Cowen (2:46.72).
Homa won the boys’ 800 in 2:03.67 followed by Hammond (2:11.14) and teammate Nicholas Ferratella (2:14.71).
McLaughlin won the 200 for the girls in 26.57 followed by Alexus Borek of Horseheads in 27.23 and Flint in 27.25.
Ruffin won the boys race in 22.57 followed by Luangsuwan (23.40) and Carlo Cipolla (24.68).
