STAC TENNIS: CORNING EDGES HORSEHEADS, 4-3 (2025-04-22)

HORSEHEADS — The Corning tennis team edged Horseheads on Tuesday afternoon, 4-3.

Sam Masaki won at first singles for the Hawks 6-3, 6-4 over Zachery Kathan. The Hawks’ Djordje Marjanovic won 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 over Hayden Chatlani at second singles.

Horseheads’ Dominic Wood won 6-4, 6-2 over Derek Guo at third singles and at fourth singles Devin Ianovici of Corning won 6-2, 6-3 over Ryan Burns.

Horseheads’ Lincoln Choe and Joseph Juan won 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) over Mark Hong and Kaeden Martinez at first doubles.

In second doubles Aditya Aiyar and Bryan (Taekyu) Lee of Corning won 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 over Christian Scibek and Ketu Patel.

In third doubles Horseheads’ Maxwell Doty and Jacob Nah won 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) over Ethan Smith and Gabriel Boutwell.
