HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: HORSEHEADS OPENS PLAY IN MYRTLE BEACH WITH WIN (2025-04-14)

MYRTLE BEACH — The Horseheads softball team opened play in Myrtle Beach with a 12-4 win over Central High School out of South Carolina.

Reagan Burge got the win, allowing one hit and four unearned runs, striking out eight. Chloe Perritt threw an inning of one-hit relief with three strikeouts.

Megan Wolf was 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored, walking twice. Caitlin Yearick had two hits and scored a run and Aubrey Howe had two hits, with an RBI and a pair of runs scored.

Mya Piecuch, seventh-grader Presley McInnes and Audrey Griffith all had hits. Griffith had an RBI and a run scored, McGinnis had two RBI and Piecuch had a run scored and two RBI.

Samantha Bonnell, Burge and Grace Cronin scored runs and Braelyn Beach had an RBI.
