IAC SOFTBALL: EDISON HANGS ON FOR WIN OVER WATKINS GLEN/O-M (20 PHOTOS) (2025-04-09) Southern Tier Sports Report WATKINS GLEN — The Edison softball team hung on for a 7-6 win over Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour on Wednesday afternoon.
Edison led 7-1, before Watkins Glen/O-M scored a run in the bottom of the sixth and four in the seventh to cut into the deficit, before the Spartans held on for the win.
Aurora Parlo struck out eight and allowed five hits for Edison.
Parlo also was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
Rosie Wheeler had two hits and an RBI and Maycie Bennett, Charlee Stroman and Carissa Cowan all had hits in the game. Cowan had two RBI and a run scored and Bennett and Stroman each scored two runs. ——— PHOTOS BY TERRY DAY.
