SOUTHERN TIER SPORTS REPORT: ELMIRA'S GUBLO, SMITH HEADLING STSR ALL-STAR BOWLING TEAMS (2025-03-31)

It’s time to recognize the area’s best bowlers with the Dynamic Dozen boys and girls bowling all-Southern Tier Sports Report all-stars.

For the boys the bowler of the year is Alex Gable of Elmira. He had the fourth best average in the STAC at 223, and helped lead Elmira to a second place finish in the state.

Other bowlers on the all-star team are Elmira’s Skylar Shadduck (217 average, 5th in STAC), Michael Rennells of Horseheads (214, 7th in STAC), Frankie D’Angel of Elmira (211 average, 9th in STAC) and PJ Nelson of Corning (211 average).

The team also includes Corning’s Zach Sturdevant (210), Trent Belloma of Elmira (210), Noah Cady of Horseheads (210), Bentley Goodier of Corning (203), Cayden Bowman of Horseheads (202), Zack Crown of Edison (202, 2nd in IAC) and Logan Card of Elmira (202).

Cady is the boys’ newcomer of the year while Evaya Gardner of Elmira, who helped the Express make states and averaged 156, is the girls’ newcomer of the year.

Madison Smith of Elmira is the girls’ bowler of the year. She led the STAC with a 208 averaged this year.

Corning’s Kylie Downing (199 average, 2nd on STAC), Elmira’s Bella Wood (189, 7th in STAC), Abby Hink of Elmira (188, 8th in STAC) and Jadyn O’Dell of Corning (170) are all on the all-star team.

The rest of the all-star team is Madison Wasicki of Elmira (169), Gardner (158), Ayden Hartford of Corning (149), Zoe Harmer of Corning (148) and Edison’s Reagan Peris (147), Aurora Parlo (142) and Cassie Osgood (130).
