HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' LACROSSE: CORNING EDGED BY STATE CHAMPION MQUAID, 8-7, IN SEASON OPENER (2025-03-29)
Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning Hawks boys’ lacrosse team opened the season with a tough-fought 8-7 loss to defending state champion MQuaid.
Tully Fratarcangelo had three goals and Dom Dinardo had two goals in the game.
Kohl Hogue and Joe Fucito each finished with goals for Corning and Ian Harpster had 15 saves in goal.
“It was a very intense, high level game, especially for the first game of the year,” Corning coach Chris Hogue said. “I was very proud of the boys as they twice came back from two-goal deficits and had the last shot to tie, just couldn’t stick it.”
