SECTION 4 BOYS' BASKETBALL: PROUDFOOT, JOHNSTON JR. EARN BCANY HONORS (2025-03-28)

Corning’s Nolyn Proudfoot was the BCANY AAA player of the year, and Corning coach Mike Johnston Jr. was the coach of the year.

The other players of the year are Binghamton’s Zubayr Griffin (AA), Allan Eagles of Seton Catholic (A), Alexander Scott of Dryden (B), Joe Baylor (Moravia), and Braymon Clark of Edmeston (D).

The coaches of the year in the other classes are Duncan Paddick of Binghamton (AA), Bill Ocker of Maine-Endwell (A), Zach Leviere of Dryden (B), Todd Mulvaney of Moravia (C) and Darren Belden of Edmeston (D).

There is a first and second team, with players from all classes making up the teams.

First team picks along with Proudfoot include Elmira’s James Harris, Corning’s Kyler Stevenson and Horseheads’ Jack Fesetch.

Second-team picks include Elmira’s Anthony Kitching and Corning’s Mekai Daniels.
