SECTION 4 FLAG FOOTBALL: HORSEHEADS FLAG FOOTBALL FALLS TO BINGHAMTON IN HOME OPENER (2025-03-28)
Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads flag football team played their home opener on Friday, falling to Binghamton 38-6.
Sydney Blunt ran for 78 yards on 15 carries for Horseheads and Emma Kamas ran for 16 on a pair of carries, while Karis Adams had three rushes for 15 yards. Jess Als ran for six yards and Peyton Butts ran for five.
Als was 11-for-18 passing for 144 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Blue Raiders touchdown was a 13-yard connection between Als and Butts, who had seven grabs for 84 yards on the day.
Adams had two grabs for 29 yards for Horseheads, while Blunt had a 17-yard catch and Kamas had two catches for 14 yards.
Maddie Ribble had nine flag pulls, two for a loss, for Horseheads and Essanna Marks had seven flag pulls and Annabelle Cleary had six.
Maggie Sullivan had three flag pulls, one for a loss and Marloe Laughlin had two flag pulls, while Adams and Serenity Jefferson each had a flag pull.
