HORSEHEADS' WOLF, ELMIRA'S HARRIS NAMED SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD WINNERS (2025-03-24)

The Elmira basketball officials board held their annual Sportsmanship Award vote and selected Horseheads’ Megan Wolf and Elmira’s James Harris as the winners.

Each year senior basketball players are nominated based on sportsmanship displayed during the season. Winners, their coaches and family are invited to the annual banquet and awarded a $250 scholarship and plaque.

The girls other nominees were Edison’s Maycie Bennett, Notre Dame’s Leah O’Connell and Addison Taft and Alyvia Heath of Elmira.

The other boys nominees were Edison’s Andrew Slaven, Jack Fesetch of Horseheads, Notre Dame’s Gabe Patterson and Waverly’s Jack Cheresnowsky.
