COLLEGE CHEER AND DANCE: EC HOSTS UPSTATE COLLEGIATE CHAMPIONSHIPS (24 PHOTOS) (2025-03-23) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — The Elmira College cheer and dance teams held the Upstate Collegiate Championships on Sunday at the Murray Athletic Center.
For Cheer the Elmira Soaring Eagles won the all-girl advanced division and the small co-ed advanced.
It was also senior day for the Elmira dance and cheer teams.
In the morning session the dance teams competed with Elmira taking second in the hip hop category.
Dance Force out of Elmira competed in exhibitions and other colleges competing were Point Park, Gannon and Penn State Behrend.
In the cheer competition other colleges were SUNY Cortland, Onondaga CC, Gannon, Ithaca, Penn State Behrend and Western Ontario. The Empire Royals mini, youth and junior teams also competed. ——— PHOTOS BY BRIAN FEES
